When a letting ends, agencies have the option to publish bid tabulations for each proposal. You'll see a flag next to each proposal of an ended letting that indicates whether bid tabs have been posted or not. If the agency has published both apparent bids and bid tabulations, you'll also see a drop-down menu where you can toggle between views.
Bid tabulations
Once a proposal's deadline has passed and the bids have been opened, you can see the bid tabulations for each proposal that the agency has opted to publish. There are two viewing options:
- Lettings page | When the bid tabulations view is selected on the lettings page, each proposal with published bid tabs will display a high-level overview of each bidder's total bid amount and total deviation from the low bidder.
- Proposal page | When the bid tabulations view is selected on the proposal page, you can see a detailed breakdown per project item of each bidder's unit price and deviation from the low bid. You can also select which bidders you want to compare.
Lettings page
To view bid tabulations from a lettings page, use the drop-down menu to select Bid Tabulations. Each proposal with published bid tabs will display a high-level overview of total bids and their deviations.
Proposal page
To view bid tabulations from a proposal page, use the drop-down menu to select Bid Tabulations. All of the project items will be displayed along with a table showing each bidder's unit price per item.
If you subscribe to the Bid Tab Analysis service, you'll also see each contractor's deviation from the low bidder. Red means the unit price was above the low bidder’s unit price. Green means the unit price was less than the low bidder’s unit price.
The page will by default show bid prices for all bidders. To selectively compare bidders, use the bids panel to select or clear the checkbox next to each bidder's name.
You can export the bid tabulations into either a CSV file or a tab-separated value file by expanding the Export menu and selecting the format you want to download.
