In this article:
Contractors and agency users can manage their Bidx.com account from the Settings page. To access your settings, click on the user menu (the round icon containing your initials) and select Settings.
Within the Settings page, there are several tabs. The tabs available on your Settings page will differ depending on your account type. Both agency and contractor users will both see the following tabs:
- Account: Update your personal and company information, view important links, or cancel your account.
- Notifications: Manage the type of notifications you want to receive from the service. Agencies can also use this tab to send messages to subscribed contractors.
- SBN: Manage your DBE status and work type preferences for the Small Business Network feature. This includes setting your work types or declaring if you are a disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE). If you have an SBN account through your agency, the status of the approval and the account expiration date appear on the Manage SBN Work Types page.
Contractor accounts will also see the following additional tabs:
- Billing: Manage your subscription and add-on features, view and download billing invoices, and edit your payment method.
- Online Bidding: Manage your Infotech® Digital ID™ for secure online bidding.

Account registration
To register for a contractor account:
- Go to the Bidx.com sign up page.
- Enter the required information.
- Select the checkbox to indicate that you have read and agreed to the terms of use.
- Optionally, select the second checkbox to receive email communications from the Infotech® team.
- Click Continue. The service will send a verification code to your email address.
- Copy the verification code from your email and paste it into the entry field. Submit the code.
- On the next screen, enter your business information. Then click Continue.
- All fields are required.
- Choose your account type and review your selected plan.
- To change to your selection, click Back. If you're happy with your plan, click Finish and pay (Basic and Pro) or Create free account (Starter).
- For Basic and Pro: a payment screen will appear. Enter your payment information and click Subscribe.
Congratulations, you have successfully created a contractor account for the Bid Express service at Bidx.com!
Account settings
Change the following personal information from the Account tab of your Settings page:
- Name
- Password
To edit your personal information:
- Go to Settings > Account and find the box labeled Personal.
- Click the pencil Edit icon next to the information you want to change.
- Enter the new information as prompted.
- Click Save.
Change the following company information from the Account tab of your Settings page:
- Company name
- Phone number
- Address
Contractor accounts can also update their company role.
To edit your company information:
- Go to Settings > Account and find the box labeled Company.
- Click the pencil Edit icon next to the information you want to change.
- Enter the new information as prompted.
- Click Save.
Warning
Canceling your Bidx.com account here will permanently delete your account, along with any Digital IDs and requests to bid associated with it. All of your favorite and followed proposals will be lost.
This action is permanent; proceed only if you would like to cancel your account forever.
To permanently cancel your Bidx.com account:
- Go to Settings > Account
- Click Cancel account. A confirmation modal will appear.
- In the text entry field, type Cancel account.
- Note: this field is not case-sensitive.
- Click Cancel my account to confirm the deletion of your Bidx.com account.
Subscription and billing
Contractor account users will see the Billing tab, where they can manage their subscription, add-on services, and payment information.
Agency account users will not see this tab.
When you create a Bidx.com contractor account you begin with the Starter plan, a free account that provides access to agency lettings and notices. To access the full benefits and features of Bidx.com, such as online bid submission and personalized proposal recommendations, upgrade to a Pro or Basic subscription.

To manage and upgrade your Bidx.com subscription, go to Settings > Billing.
In the Your Subscription box, you will see the following options depending on your current plan:
- Manage subscription | This drop-down menu contains options to edit your add-on features, upgrade your account, or cancel your account.
- Upgrade | Starter accounts will see an additional Upgrade button that goes directly to plan options.
Manage a Starter account
To upgrade your Starter account to a Basic or Pro plan:
- Click on either the Upgrade button or open Manage subscription and select Upgrade subscription.
- Choose the plan option you want by clicking either Upgrade to Basic or Upgrade to Pro.
- From the payment screen, enter your credit card details and click Save.
With a Basic or Pro plan, add-on features become available.
Manage a Basic account
To upgrade your Basic account to a Pro plan:
- Click on Manage subscription and select Upgrade subscription.
- Click Upgrade to Pro.
- Confirm your credit card details and click Save.
With a Basic or Pro plan, add-on features become available.
Manage a Pro account
The Pro account is the most robust subscription plan, with full access to all Bidx.com features. From the Manage subscription menu, you will have the option to edit your add-on features or cancel your account.
Downgrade a subscription plan
To select a downgraded subscription plan, go to Manage subscription and select Cancel account. A pop-up modal will give you the option to downgrade your plan to a lower tier. Click Downgrade to go to the plan options page and select your new plan.
The new subscription plan will go into effect at the end of your current billing cycle.
The service offers these add-on features to enhance your experience:
- Digital Plan Sheets | View, download, and print plan sheets from participating agencies.

Competitive Analysis Suite | Analyze your bids' performance and competitiveness with these tools.
The Competitive Analysis Suite includes:
- Bid Express Competitor Insights | Personalized item comparison analysis.
- Bid Tab Analysis | Research historic bid price data using bid tabulations from participating agencies.
To add one or both of these services to your subscription:
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- In the Your subscription box, you'll see the Add-on features section.
- From either of the add-on features, click Add to plan.
- The Add-on features selection modal will open.
- Select the checkbox next to the feature(s) you want to add.
- Review the order summary and terms of agreement.
- Click Update subscription.
To change your payment information:
- Go to Settings > Billing.
- From the quick access Payment method box, click Change payment method.
- Or, from the Payment information section, click the pencil Edit icon next to the payment method.
- Enter the new credit card information.
- Click Update billing details.
The new card will replace your current card and be used on your next bill.
The Invoices box displays a list of your billing invoices with their type, order number, billed amount, and invoice status. It may take up to 24 hours to see newly posted invoices.
Click View invoice to see the details.
Online bidding
Create and manage your Infotech® Digital ID™ from the Online Bidding tab of your Settings page.
A Digital ID is required to submit bids using the Bid Express service at bidx.com.
