Users
The Users section lets managing members assign Bid Express-specific roles to new and existing employees.
To change a user's role, you must be a manager. Simply click the drop-down menu next to a user's name and select their new role.
Note: If you are not a managing member, the drop-down menu will be grayed out.
Each member of your business must be assigned a role by the manager on the My Profiles tab.
Managers cannot change their own role. Each role can access specific parts of the Bid Express service. If no one in your organization has a manager role, a user with My Account manager access can change their own role.
To invite employees to your business or change an employee's ability to issue invitations to others, please see the Employees section.

Personalized Notifications
Set the following work preferences and the Bid Express service will automatically search every solicitation posted for your personal matches. Solicitations containing at least one of your keyword or code choices, that are also in your preferred work area, will be emailed directly to you.
Expand the sections below to optimize your profile for personalized matches.
Setting your location and a preferred job distance creates your own custom work radius. Any time that a solicitation is posted that falls within your preferred work radius, you will get an email notification.
The Location information shown here is pulled from the business address you gave when creating your account. You can change this location to wherever it is that you prefer to work from.
The job distance radius defaults to 50 miles from your preferred address, but you can choose a smaller or larger area in increments of 10 miles.
To change your Location information:
- In the Location section of the My Profile tab, click Edit.
- Enter your preferred location into the search box. A drop-down menu will suggest autocompletions as you type.
- Find the correct address in the drop-down menu and click on it.
- Click Save.
Enter keywords related to the type of work you do, items you provide, or other general terms that identify your work preferences. Whenever a solicitation is advertised in your work radius that contains your keywords in its description or item list, you'll get an email notification.
To add Keyword preferences:
- In the Keywords section of the My Profile tab, click Edit.
- Enter your preferred keywords into the text box and click Add keyword.
- Note: you can enter a multi-word phrase and save it as one keyword.
- Click Save.
To delete Keyword preferences:
- In the Keywords section of the My Profile tab, click Edit.
- Find the keyword you want to delete.
- Click the X to the left of the keyword and hit Save.
You can add National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP®) codes to your business profile to get super-specific with your work preferences. Whenever a solicitation is advertised that includes your selected codes, you'll get an email for it (if you are a subscriber or the agency sponsors solicitations and notifications).
To add NIGP codes:
- In the Codes section of the My Profile tab, click Manage Codes.
- A pop-up box appears. Use the drop-down menu to browse or use keywords to search for a code class.
- Then use the text box to search and click on the specific code(s) you need.
- Click Save.
- Repeat this process for each code class until you have all of your NIGP codes saved.
To delete NIGP codes:
- In the Codes section of the My Profile tab, find the code you want to delete.
- Click the red X to the right of the code.
- Click OK to confirm the deletion.
Click the Yes/No toggle to enable/disable notifications for your preferred Location radius, Keywords, and Codes. You'll receive an email whenever a solicitation matches one or more of your preferences and falls within your location radius.
