My bid is due soon!
In this article:
Import
You will have to import the backup of your Digital ID any time you use a new computer or device with the Bid Express service. If you're using a legacy ID, it must be used with Internet Explorer 11.
What do I need to import my ID?
In order to import your Digital ID to a new device, you will need:
-
Your backup ID
-
Your backup ID's password (for legacy IDs)
- Internet Explorer 11 (for legacy IDs)
If you do not have the backup ID or its password (for legacy IDs), you can create a new one using the original ID.
If you don't have access to your original ID, you may have to replace your ID.
Import your ID
Once you have your backup ID ready, you can log in and import the ID to a new computer or device.
- From the Digital ID page, click Import my Digital ID.
-
Navigate to the external media of your backed-up Digital ID and click Open.
-
Enter the backup ID password in the Digital ID Password window and click OK.
The service imports the backup of your Digital ID and returns you to the Digital ID page.
Backup
A backup copy of your Digital ID should have been made during the generation process, but you can make another backup if you misplace the first or forget the backup's password. Use the backup ID to continue bidding if you switch computers.
When you back up your Digital ID, it is a good idea to save it to an external media in case something happens to your computer. If you wish to back up your ID to a CD, you must first save it to your computer and then burn it to a CD.
If you don't have access to the computer or device where your original ID was created, and if you don't have the backup and password, you may need to replace your ID.
-
From the Digital ID page, click Back Up.
- Click Back Up from the Back Up window.
The ID is saved and the service returns you to Digital ID page. If needed, you can then import it into another computer or device using Internet Explorer 11.
Start over with a new Digital ID
As a vendor, if you can't access your Digital ID and you lose its backup, you can generate another ID. It may take up to seven business days for us to process your application.
You won't be able to bid on solicitations that require a Digital ID until you receive approval.

From the Digital ID page, click Create New Infotech Digital ID.
Follow the instructions on creating a new Digital ID.
