Reference data has changed. Items, materials, associations, and worksheets are now contained in collections. Your existing reference data has been consolidated into a collection titled [Your Business] reference. You can find it on the Reference Data tab under Collections.
The Materials page lists all the materials entered into the Appia service. From this page you can view and manage Appia material data.

Select Reference Data in the Sidebar menu.

Choose Materials.
If the material is associated with an item, use the Item Materials page to create that association.
Add or edit reference materials
Changing a material in the reference data does not change the material already in use in a project. If the material is associated with an item, you will see the association in the material details.

Click Add or click the description and then Edit to edit a material.

Enter or update the material information in the appropriate fields.

Click Save.
If you are adding a material, the Appia service adds the reference material to the material list and displays a successfully saved message.
Click Materials in the navigation trail to return to the Materials page.
Delete reference materials
You can delete materials that have already been assigned to a project without affecting the project.
- Click the X next to the selected material on the Materials page.
Reference item materials
You can associate a material with items in the Item Materials page. When the associated item is entered into a project, the material is automatically added as well.

Select Reference Data and then Item Materials in Sidebar menu.

Click the item ID to see the item details.
The Materials column lists how many materials are associated with an item. You can see the associated materials by clicking the arrow sign to the left of the item.
