The search functionality in the Bid Express® service looks for specific information such as bids, items, or bidders in its records.
Good to Know
- You must be logged in to use the Search function.
- New information will not be available for searching until the start of the next business day. For example, if an agency posts a proposal containing asphalt, it will not show up in an Items search until the next business day.
- Items Search: Use the Item tab to search for an item description from a proposal within the selected agency, including the proposal ID, item number, description, quantity, and letting date.
- Bids Search: Use the Bids tab to search past lettings for a bid price, item number, description, proposal, quantity, unit of measure, bidder, and letting date within the selected agency.
- Bidders Search: Use the Bidders tab to search for the bidder ID, address, location, or other information related to a bidder.
The Bidders search will also show a company’s obsolete status. If you are listed as obsolete, you won’t be able to bid on any proposal for that agency. Please contact your agency for how to remedy the obsolete status. The agency should provide you with instructions to rectify the situation and remove the obsolete tag. Your company must be listed as current to be able to submit your bid to the agency.
Find Your Bidder ID Use the Bidders search tab to find your bidder ID. Enter your business name (as it's registered with the agency) in the Bidder Keywords field and press enter.
Results will show the businesses that match the name, including your bidder ID. You can also use the advanced search to narrow the results with city, state, or other criteria.
If your bidder ID isn’t listed, please contact your agency.

Good to Know | Wildcard * function
The wildcard function (*) acts as a placeholder for a number or letter if you are using the advanced search and don't know certain information, like the correct spelling or exact proposal ID.For example, if you know the proposal ID starts with B509 and ends in 2, you can enter B509*2 to find the proposal. Or, if you are not sure if a bidder's name is Barber or Barbor, you can search for Barb*r to find it.
Click Advanced Search in the upper right corner of the search panel and enter at least four characters of the search criteria in all applicable fields. Enter any date or quantity ranges and press Enter to search.
Results will show all Proposal IDs that contain the search criteria. Sort your results by clicking any of the column headings.
Click the proposal ID to see the call order information for that proposal or click the letting date to see the list of proposals for the letting. The back button on your browser will return you to the search results.
If there are more than 20 records found, use the arrows above the Letting Date column to see additional records.
Use the File Download window to open or save the results or select Export (csv) or Export (tab) to the right of the page to export them as an Excel file.
