Permissions and abilities
With contractor access to a project, users can see:
- Item list - Project items and their basic information
- Item activity - Details of an item's history and activity in daily reports, payments, and change orders
Contractor users can see and edit:
- Punch list - If there are active punch list tasks on the project, contractor users can see tasks, edit remarks, add attachments, and mark the work complete
Good to know
Contractor users will never see remarks, attachments, or other qualitative information from daily reports, change orders, payments, or other areas of the project (except punch list tasks). Access is limited to quantitative data that is directly related to project items, like quantities, overages, and dollar amounts.
To learn exactly what information is included in the contractor access view, see the following sections.
Contractor users can see a list of all project items and these associated details:
- Line Number
- Item ID
- Unit
- Authorized Quantity
- Quantity Placed
Contractor users can view an item's history and activity by selecting an item name.
When contractor users select an item, the item history will display the following information:
- Quantities placed, remaining, pending, original, authorized, paid, and placed but not paid
- Unit type and price
- Completed status -- yes or no
- Amounts authorized, paid, and placed but not paid (in dollars)
From the Daily Reports tab of a selected item, contractor users can see:
- Date of each daily report where the item is included
- Inspector who created each report
- Status of each daily report
- Quantity of the item placed in each report
- Amount of the placed item (in dollars) in each report
Users can also see materials and worksheets associated with the item, if there are any.
From the Payments and Change Orders tab of a selected item, contractor users can see for payments:
- End date of the pay period
- Status of the payment
- Payment number for easy reference
- Quantity placed of the item during the pay period
- Overage quantity of the item during the pay period

For change orders:
- Date of the change order
- Status of the change order
- Change order number for easy reference
- Quantity of the item change
- Amount of the item change
Users can also see stockpile payments associated with the item, if there are any.
If there are active punch list tasks on the project, users with contractor access can:
- View punch list tasks and any remarks or attachments associated with them
- Edit remarks
- Add attachments
- Mark complete punch list work
