- What does the Universal experience mean?
-
Over the past two years, we've introduced new functionality and a modernized website experience. We've also provided the ability to opt in and opt out of the modernized experience. The universal experience really means that there will be only one experience of Bidx.com. The opt-in/opt-out experience will be removed.
- What happened to the ability to go back to the old Bidx?
-
The ability to opt-in/opt out of the modern look/feel vs. the Classic look/feel has been deprecated.
- Is this the only look/feel of Bidx.com?
-
Yes. This updated modern experience is the only experience of Bidx.com.
- Why did the navigation change?
-
In the last two years, we've moved towards a modernized site layout and experience. If you're using the modernized site layout, you may have noticed some recent updates to the site navigation.
- How do I get to...
-
For navigation help, see our video navigation guides.
- Why are you requiring a login to Bidx.com?
-
The login requirement is intended to improve security and provide insight into who is accessing the sensitive information within the platform. This will also help to reduce/eliminate violations of our terms of use. Also, we will provide an administrator report that will allow you to view attachment download activity through the admin console. In addition, the login requirement will allow us to better understand Bidx.com usage for future improvements as well as have security in place to protect bid forms once Web Bidding is implemented.
- When will login be required?
-
Login (username/password) will be required starting October 2023.
- Will I need to login to access Apparent Bids data?
-
Yes, login will be required to access Apparent Bids data.
- Will I need to create a Starter (free) account?
-
If you already have an agency admin account or agency-user account you do not need to create a Starter (free) account.
- Can I continue to request free agency-user accounts?
-
Yes, you can continue to request an agency-user account.
- Will Starter (free) accounts expire?
-
No, your Starter (free) user account will not expire.
- What is the difference between a free Starter account and the Basic Service?
-
The primary difference between the free Starter account and the Basic Service is that the Starter account provides access to limited information on Bidx.com, such as apparent bids, agency attachments, and bid summary data. The free account does not allow you to download bid files or submit bids.
The Basic Service provides access to all of the information that the free account provides, with the added benefits of access to bid files/amendments, the Small Business Network, ability to search by proposal items, and finding more work opportunities with recommended proposals in the Workspace. The Basic Service is also the entryway into bidding; you can create an Infotech® Digital ID™ and make a request to bid (with additional fees). Please see our fee schedule for more information.
