An Infotech® Digital ID is an electronic tool that allows users to digitally sign documents, such as bids or contracts, submitted via an Infotech® service. Digital IDs are used as part of a secure method of maintaining confidentiality and identity verification.
If a Digital ID is not required, the service may require an electronic signature. There is no registration process for an electronic signature.

Advancements in technology allowed us to change the way Digital IDs are created, which led to the need for multi-browser IDs. If you had a Digital ID approved before October 2020, you could use it only with the Internet Explorer web browser. The new Digital IDs were introduced in October 2020 and can be used with most web browsers, like Chrome or Edge.
Depending on the agency, you may be required to have a Digital ID created and approved before using any feature that requires a digital signature, such as posting or responding to a solicitation. An agency can't generate an ID for the Bid Express® service until the Service and License Agreement is approved by the Infotech® service team.
If your account is canceled or disabled, your Digital ID will also be disabled.

Digital ID status
If you are waiting for approval for your Digital ID, you will see either the status is Pending along with the date you generated the ID or a message saying your Digital ID is being reviewed.
Once your Digital ID is approved, you will receive an email with the approval notification.
If your Digital ID has been rejected, the status is Rejected along with the date of the rejection. The reason for the rejection and the date are also displayed and you will receive an email with this information. Correct the wrong information and generate the ID again. The ID must be regenerated in order to update the information on the form. Print the form and resubmit it for approval.
If you leave your business, the Digital ID status changes to Invalid. The service also displays the date of the status change. You must generate a new Digital ID if you rejoin the business.
